Hello Everyone!

On the eve of a day when we give thanks to our loving Father, please know that one of greatest things I give thanks for is YOU! YOU make leading LWML AD a very, very special joy in my life! We all know 2020 has been a very different, challenging year. You may, as I did, be thinking that we haven't been able to do much because of the pandemic. But when I truly examine the things we have done just this year, I am reminded that we have done a lot! Even though our convention had to be canceled, God still enabled us to accomplish:
voting for and adopting 14 new Mission Grants with 30% more delegates than ever before! -elected new board members!
led a book discussion with Deaconess Rosie Adel with more than 30 people online!
held a beautiful Pray for our Nation service led by our Jr. and Sr. Pastoral counselors!
led 2 very well attended YWR Happy Hour sessions!
participated in Joy Ahoy; a virtual retreat led by Wendysue Fluegge!
As we begin to plan events for 2021 as well as our attendance at the Lexington Convention in June 2021, I ask you to continue to keep LWML AD in your prayers. With that said, I ask of you three things:
...keep LWML in your prayers-our District as well as National-please pray for our wisdom, safety, and discernment as we move ahead into unchartered waters;
...if you are able to be more involved, have ideas for future events, have suggestions for Mission Grant support, etc., please contact me at your earliest convenience. We still have a number of open seats on the Board. We continue to prayerfully search out those special people who can assist in these areas.
...if you are able to help us financially-in anyway-please do so generously. I believe we are able to pay our first 3 mission grants, and we still have 11 more to fund. These projects are depending on our support...any donation-large or small-will be greatly appreciated.
Each one of you has touched my heart and have given me the privilege of serving our Risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ together as one very special group of women and men-Lutheran Women's Missionary League Atlantic District! I thank God for all of you! In closing, from my family to yours, may you and your loved ones be richly blessed as we celebrate a day when we give thanks to the one and only true God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Forever in His Service,
Linda Guteres
LWML Atlantic District President
